Zucchini Cheddar Scones

A savory scone- this will change your life. Or, at least how you view tea time.

Ingredients
 2 ½ cups Flour
 ½ tsp Salt
 1 tbsp Baking Powder
 ½ tsp Baking Soda
 ¼ cup Sugar
 1 stick Unsalted Butter (cold and cut into pieces)
 1 Egg (beaten)
 ½ cup Sour Cream
  cup Zucchini (grated)
 ¾ cup Cheddar Cheese (grated)
 1 tbsp Flour (for coating surface)

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar. Add the butter chunks and knead it into the mixture with your fingers until it resembles coarse meal.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Whisk together the egg and sour cream. Pour the mixture into the dry ingredients.

Prep and Bake

In a small bowl, combine zucchini, flour, and 1/2 cup of cheese. Toss to coat then fold into the scone batter. On a floured surface, knead the dough together and shape into an 8 inch patty. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and set on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of the scones. Bake at 400 degrees for 22-24 minute until cooked through and golden brown.
