Make Your Own

Want a recipe so you can DIY?

While fondant isn’t something you have to make yourself, everything tastes better from scratch! And now that you know about all the cool things you can do with fondant, I thought you might like a recipe so you can make your own.

Now, the recipe I’m going to share with you is a little unique. It takes the best attributes of both store bought and homemade fondant and combines them into a single powerhouse fondant. Meaning: one of the ingredients in your homemade fondant is store bought fondant. Weird, I know. But it blends the “taste” of homemade with the “flexibility” of store bought. And together, you get a fondant that is super stretchy, doesn’t rip, won’t get elephant skin, and is mad tasty!

And to me, that last one is the most exciting.

Personally, I’ve always found store bought fondants taste yucky. So the idea of improving the taste is the main reason I’d recommend you make your own. Because I believe that if you’re going to cover your entire cake in something, it should be something delicious! And it shouldn’t make your cake any less tasty. Now, maybe that’s just me. But if you agree with me, then this recipe is for you.

Here ya go!
