Sometimes, recipes don’t go as planned. When that happens, try turning your sad cake crumbs into a delicious (and totally intentional) trifle. That’s what I did, when my Strawberry Nutella Cake literally fell apart on me. It got so heavy that my top layers crushed my bottom layers and now, we have a Strawberry Nutella Trifle recipe to share with you! It just goes to show how true the old adage is: When life gives you lemons, make a trifle.
Crumble the cooled chocolate cake. Press some of the cake crumbles into the bottom of a glass.
Top with a layer of whipped cream and garnish with a layer of strawberries. Repeat until the glass is full- and ending with a strawberry layer on top.
