Apple Monsters 2

Silly Apple Bites

These simple peanut butter and apple snacks are just what the doctor ordered (no, not Dr. Jekyll or Dr. Frankenstein) as a healthy Halloween option next time you feel peckish this October. And when it’s this easy to eat healthy, there’s no excuse to eat any other way.

Ingredients
2 Green Apples (quartered, with cores removed)
 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
 32 Sunflower Seeds
 2-3 Strawberries (sliced)
 16 Candy Eyes

Decorate and Serve
1

Make a shallow cut in the middle of the apple peel, creating a mouth. Don't worry about making it perfect—you're making a monstrous green apple creature—embrace it! Spread peanut butter around the top and sides of the mouth, then press a few sunflower seed teeth into place. Stick a strawberry slice tongue in the middle of the mouth. Paint some peanut butter “glue” on the back of the eyes and create the face. Serve immediately to keep from browning.
