These spooky little spider cookies prove that peanut butter and chocolate are a match made in Halloween heaven. Staring back at you with adorable candy eyes, these arachnids have peanut butter cups for bodies, legs drawn with melted chocolate chips, and reside at the crossroads of festive and cute!
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Cream both sugars and all the wet ingredients together. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture, mixing until incorporated. Form the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
Bake for 10–12 minutes.
Place peanut butter cups upside down on the warm cookies and lightly press the candy eyes into the soft, warm peanut butter cups.
Pour the chocolate chips into a plastic sandwich bag, and set in a bowl of warm water until melted. Snip off one corner of the bag to make a small opening and draw eight legs onto the cookies with the melted chocolate, four on each side.
Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow the legs to set.
