Peanut Butter Cookie Mug Cake

This is not your average peanut butter cookie recipe. So if you’re looking for a simple, traditional peanut butter cookie recipe, walk away. Cause this ain’t it. This recipe is unbelievably extra. It has an insane number sweets hidden both inside, in between, and on top of it. Plus, it gets baked in the oven inside of a mug- which is the kitchen equivalent of a daredevil stunt. But I like that this peanut butter cookie is unpredictable. It’s exciting. And delicious, in a super indulgent sort of way.

Starting with a smooth, peanut butter cookie base, this treat gets chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and Reese’s Pieces candies all folded into the dough. But the luxurious additions don’t stop there. Taking a few spoonfuls of the cookie dough, spread the batter into the bottom of a heat resistant mug. Then top with marshmallow fluff and peanut butter cups. Yeah, that happens. I did mention that this recipe was extra, right? From there, simply press more cookie dough on top of the goodies, hiding the sweet and gooey center. And- because by this point you’re fully committed- go ahead and garnish the top of your confection with some extra Reese’s Pieces and crumbled peanut butter cups.

Man, I feel a sugar coma coming on- and all I did was read the description! This mug cake seriously doesn’t know when to stop… But as you can imagine, all of those candies blend together with the peanut butter cookie base to create one impossibly sweet, impossible to resist dessert. So bon appetit, peanut butter lovers- this one’s for you!
