Valentines day is just around the corner and what better way to sweep that special someone off their feet that with a marbled sugar cookie in the shape of a heart?

Ingredients
 ½ cup Unsalted Butter (soft)
 ½ cup Sugar
 1 Egg
 1 tsp Vanilla
 ¼ tsp Salt
 ½ tsp Baking Powder
 2 cups Flour
 Food Coloring

Prep and Bake
1

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla then add the salt and baking powder. Gradually mix in flour until fully combined. Divide dough in half and add food coloring; mix until completely blended. Pinch all dough into 1 inch sized balls and alternate the two doughs. Knead all the dough together, being careful not to over mix. Chill for 30-60 minutes then roll out the dough until 1/4 inch thick. Cut out individual cookies with a cookie cutter and space 2 inches apart from one another. Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow cookies to rest for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool, if you can wait that long... 🙂
