This is my family’s all time favorite cake recipe. Between the fluffy cake layers, light and airy whipped cream frosting, the sugary crumble finish, and the lemon flavor that perforates the whole cake, it is simply a joy to eat. Plus, it’s just so pretty!

Combine ingredients and then follow the directions on the box. Divide the batter in half and pour into a greased spring form pan then bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Mix cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold whipped cream and cream cheese mixture together. Place a layer of cake on a plate and frost the top. Repeat with the second layer then frost the sides.
Combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter, vanilla, and lemon juice. Sprinkle the crumble on the recently frosted cake. Garnish with slices of lemon on top and prepare to taste pure yum.
