Insanely Fudgy Brownies Made From Scratch


This brownie recipe has it all! It’s uber chocolaty, moist, dense, and outright delicious! Plus, it’s made from scratch- so you get full credit for all of that deliciousness!


Units Scale
  • 8 oz Semisweet chocolate
  • 1 1/2 sticks Butter
  • 1 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Divide the 8 ounces of semisweet chocolate into two different bowls, each with 4 ounces of chocolate each. Set one bowl aside. Microwave the other bowl until the chocolate is melted. 
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat for another 1-2 minutes. Add the melted chocolate and beat until homogenous. 
  4. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Once the mixture has come together, fold in the chocolate pieces you set aside earlier. 
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and parchment paper lined 8 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. (Note: Removing it after 20 minutes will result in maximum fudginess.)
