Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Waffles

These waffles taste like cinnamon sugar toast and OMG they’re SO GOOD!

Waffles
 1 can refrigerated Biscuit dough
 4 tbsp Butter, melted
  cup Sugar
 3 tsp Cinnamon
 Maple syrup, for serving
Candied Pecan Topping
 ½ cup Pecans
 3 tbsp Sugar
 ½ tsp Cinnamon

In a medium sized bowl with a wide mouth, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Stir well and set aside. Grease a waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Place the biscuit in the center of the iron and cook until the biscuit is puffed and browned.

Brush the waffle with butter on both sides, making sure to cover as much surface area as possible. Dip waffle in the cinnamon sugar mixture, moving the waffle around as needed to coat the whole surface.

Candied Pecan Topping

Combine the pecans and sugar in a small saucepan and cook over medium high heat for 2-4 minutes. Once the sugar is melted, reduce to low and immediately sprinkle cinnamon over the nuts and sugar. Continue to stir until the pecans are coated in the melted sugar. Allow to cool before spooning atop the waffles and drizzle with maple syrup, if desired.
