Chocolate Toffee Bars

Tea time just got an upgrade. This dessert can stand alone with instant coffee inside of it; but if you are a traditional coffee addict, this will compliment your favorite caffeine beverage. And the chocolate drizzle is the finishing touch that makes this bar look like a million dollar dessert.

Toffee Bars
 1 cup Butter
 1 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
 2 cups Flour
 ½ tsp Baking Powder
 ¼ tsp Salt
 1 ½ tbsp Instant Coffee Granules
 1 cup English Toffee Candy (crushed)
 4 oz Slivered Almonds (toasted)
Frosting
 1 cup Powdered Sugar
 2 tbsp Milk
 1 tbsp Butter
 1 tsp Vanilla
Chocolate Drizzle
 2 oz Semisweet Chocolate (melted)

Toffee Bars

Beat butter at medium until creamy. Add brown sugar gradually until well combined. Add flour and next three ingredients. Mix in candy bars and almonds. Spread mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 350 for 18 minutes.

Frosting

Mix ingredients and pour over warm bars. Cool and cut into bars.

Chocolate Drizzle

Put chocolate in a plastic bag and place in warm water until melted. Drizzle bars with chocolate.
