This super rich brownie is to DIE FOR! A rich, fudge-y brownie, paired with fresh strawberries, and an INSANELY rich ganache. It is truly one of the best chocolate desserts I’ve ever made. You need to make this for yourself. Now.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8 x 8 inch pan with parchment paper.
Prepare the brownie batter according to the box instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out with only a few moist crumbs; about 20 minutes. Let cool completely in the pan, then top with strawberries, cut side down; set aside.
(Tip: the larger the strawberries the better.) In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until bubbles begin to break the surface around the edges of the pan, then turn off the heat. Put the chocolate chips into a heat proof bowl and pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk constantly, until the ganache is smooth.
Pour over the strawberries then refrigerate the brownies until the ganache has set, about 15 minutes. Slice into squares and serve cold.
